GSI CAMP COOKWEAR – COLORADO ELK HUNT

With our base camp at 10,500 feet in the Rio Grande National Forest, we needed to pack light. On an 8-day elk hunt, feeding 6 hungry dudes was no easy task. No worries. We packed some camp cookware from GSI Outdoors. I thought I would come back 10 pounds lighter, but I came home a few pounds heavier because we ate like kings. The Pinnacle camp cookware set worked like a champ – lightweight, durable and easy to clean. Without a sink, we were digging the non-stick surfaces, they cleaned up with a few wipes and were ready to go for our next meal.

The entire kit (Pinnacle Base Camper) includes a fry pan, sauce pan, pot, cutting board and lids that also serve as strainers. And one compact handle that can be used on all of the pans. The entire set worked perfectly for every meal- bacon/eggs, fried steak/potatoes, chicken wraps/salsa, and the camp favorite, elk chili! And the entire set packs up into a convenient, compact carrying case (that strapped easily to our saddles).

I plan to stock up on more of their gear before my next hunting trip. Check out their full line at www.gsioutdoors.com.
