One key to running a successful guided deer hunting operation is great food. And this is one recipe that is a slam dunk with the hunters. As a side to most meat dishes, it’s super simple, and can easily feed a bunch of hungry people, which is why this is a perfect dish for any deer camp, or family gathering.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Brown the deer burger in skillet (season the meat generously)
Chop Onion in small chunks
Drain the butter and black beans (no water).
Mix the ingredients into a crock pot.
Cook on low for 3-4 hours.
Serve as a side dish to steak, pork chops, or most meat dishes.
