Boneyard Beans – Cowboy Style Recipe
Ever hear of cowboy beans? This is the Boneyard Outfitters version… Boneyard Beans.
One key to running a successful guided deer hunting operation is great food. And this is one recipe that is a slam dunk with the hunters. As a side to most meat dishes, it’s super simple, and can easily feed a bunch of hungry people, which is why this is a perfect dish for any deer camp, or family gathering.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Brown the deer burger in skillet (season the meat generously)
Chop Onion in small chunks
Drain the butter and black beans (no water).
Mix the ingredients into a crock pot.
Cook on low for 3-4 hours.
Serve as a side dish to steak, pork chops, or most meat dishes.
INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground deer burger
Half of a Vidalia (or white) Onion
Tablespoon of seasoning on meat (Kinders Garlic Pepper, and Lawrys Seasoning Salt)
1 Bottle (or 2 cups) Jim Bean Bourbon Barbeque Sauce
1 Can Bush’s Grillin Beans
1 Can Bush’s Butter Beans
1 Can Bush’s Baked Beans
1 Can Black Pinto Beans
1 Tablespoon Worchestershire Sauce
