BRINGING HOME THE BACON- FLORIDA BOAR HUNT

I had such a blast with my son on our last boar hunt that I had to go back for more. My good friend and long-time deer hunting partner Kurt Kowalczyk was up for the challenge, so in February, we had enough of the snow and took off to Florida in pursuit of pork.

We flew to St. Pete to visit our buddy Doug. Then we drove over to Lake Okeechobee for some wild boar action. We hit the jackpot, and scored on two nice hogs. With a cooler full of prime pork, we headed back to St. Pete. Oh yeah, we figured we would top off the cooler with some gray snapper. Nothing beats a little surf ‘n turf in February, especially when you’re from Illinois!
