Fishermen know the name Plano. It’s synonymous with the best tackle boxes ever manufactured. But Plano has taken their proven expertise in crafting durable outdoors gear carrying cases into the hunting market. If you hunt long enough, you will try a variety of products and discover, sometimes the hard way, which products fail miserably or stand the test of time. Which is why I’m excited to be trying Plano products on my hunts. My first tackle box was made by Plano. I thought that was pretty cool since I grew up about 45 minutes from their plant. But that aside, their tackle boxes were tough — I think I still have my first one.

So let’s talk hunting. We all need gun and bow cases. Plano has continued to expand their line of cases to meet the demand of the growing number of hunters.  They have a wide range of both bow and gun cases that range from soft cases, to airline-approved heavy-duty gun and rifle cases. They also offer a line of lockers to carry gear, ammunition and archery accessories. And they don’t stop there. They have cases that will strap securely to ATVs.

Most of their cases are manufactured using quality material. The high density foam secures guns tightly and cushions them from impact and vibration. This is critical for  scoped weapons to keep them from getting knocked off.

Plano’s stronghold in the hunting industry is reaffirmed by the partnerships they have forged. They have a lineup of top-notch, nationally renowned Pro-staffers, and have even packaged some of their cases with the Michael Waddell “Bone Collector”brand. They also are moving into the Law Enforcement/Agency markets, as well as providing carriers for tools in the construction industry. The bottom line is Plano knows cases. Since they are a molding company, they know how to create plastic products that withstand the test of time. They have continued to use their innovation and expertise to prove themselves as valued manufacturers in a variety of markets. I know I will keep an eye open for what’s next.
